Welcome to WASM Mines Rescue Club

The WASM Mines Rescue Club is a student-led organisation based onsite at the Western Australian School of Mines (WASM), Curtin University. The club is dedicated to promoting mine safety awareness, developing emergency response skills, and providing students with hands-on experience in underground rescue operations.

What We Do

  • Training & Skills Development - Members will participate in training sessions that simulate real-world emergency scenarios in underground mining environments.

  • Industry Collaboration - We work closely with industry partners to gain insights, mentorship, and support, fostering strong ties between students and mining companies.

  • Competitions - The club competes in regional and national Mines Rescue Competitions, putting our skills to the test alongside industry professionals.
