Club Objectives

The objects of the Society are:

(a) To become and remain registered with the Guild.

(b) To further the interests of enrolled students.

(c) To assist new students with orientation to the University.

(d) To encourage and promote cooperation between the Society and other Student societies.

(e) To do all things that are necessary and proper for the benefit and advancement of the Society and the Guild.

(f) To provide an avenue for students at WASM to see how large mining companies perform their training operations for emergency response.

(g) To provide avenues to learn skills such as how to wear and operate breathing apparatuses.

(h) To host a team of students to compete in competitions where they will learn first aid skills, underground search and rescue, as well as rope skills.

Note: No alteration, addition or amendment of the objectives outlined on this page shall be made without prior approval from the Curtin Student Guild in accordance with club governance policies.
